Elderflower and Lemon Pousette

Our Elderflower & Lemon Poussette is a sweet, creamy, and zesty dessert with a delicate floral note from Belvoir Farm Elderflower Cordial. Simple to make and beautifully elegant, it’s a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

600ml Organic double cream/plant based cream
80g Caster sugar
3 tbsp Belvoir Farm Elderflower Cordial
Juice of 2 lemons
2 slices Lemon peel
To finish Fresh elderflowers (optional)
To finish Chopped pistachios

Method

To Make 

  1. In a small pan add the cream, sugar, and lemon peel. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 3 minutes.
  2. Remove from the heat and whisk in our Elderflower Cordial and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth. Set aside to cool a little and infuse.
  3. Either use hollowed put lemons or little cups and fill with the cream.
  4. Place in the fridge for a few hours or overnight to set.
  5. Serve with chopped pistachios and, if in season and available, fresh elderflowers.
